NRAP

Accessibility

Built for everyone.

NRAP is committed to making this site usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance — the standard for federally-funded programs and the baseline for accessible public websites.

What we do

  • Semantic markup: proper headings, landmarks, and form labels.
  • Keyboard navigation: every interactive element reachable and operable without a mouse.
  • Color contrast: text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Alt text: all meaningful images have descriptive alternative text.
  • Focus indicators: keyboard focus is always visible.
  • Captioned video: where we publish video, we caption it.

Known issues

We test with axe-core and manual screen-reader walkthroughs, but we're a small team. If you encounter something that doesn't work for you, please tell us so we can fix it.

Tell us

Email info@nrapus.org. Tell us what page, what you were trying to do, and what went wrong. We'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

Apprenticeship access

NRAP's apprenticeship program itself must comply with 29 CFR Part 30 (Equal Employment Opportunity in Apprenticeship) and the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need an accommodation to apply for or participate in an NRAP apprenticeship, contact your state lead or email info@nrapus.org.
